No prepayment discount is available for these session times (see below). However, in urgent cases, I can offer very short-notice appointments this way.

Payment

Please pay directly after the session in cash, with EC card, credit card or via PayPal Friends to chr.blomberg@posteo.de

Costs for cancelling or forgetting an appointment

Please cancel appointments as early as possible!

Important: Cancellation up to 24 hours in advance is free of charge, after that I have to charge 50% for the agreed or cancelled session (even if you forget). The reason is that I cannot reschedule the appointment at such short notice. Thank you for your understanding!

Reimbursement of Services

Psychotherapy by Heilpraktiker is often covered by private health insurance (PKV) in Germany. With the appropriate tariff, the following providers often reimburse a large part (min. 80%) of the costs: AllianzAXABarmenia, Continentale, Debeka, DKV, HallescheHUK-COBURGInterSignal Iduna

Basic public health insurance funds generally do not cover services provided by Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie. But private supplementary insurance plans for Heilpraktiker services may cover a large part of psychotherapy costs with providers such as: ARAGBarmeniaDebekaDKVHanseMerkurSignal IdunaWürttembergische …

Systemic couples therapy is not covered by any health insurance funds (GKV/PKV) because it lacks personal “clinical relevance.”

Please discuss with your tax advisor whether session costs can also bring tax advantages with the tax office.

Advantages of self-paying
There are also advantages to becoming active on your own initiative, i.e. as a ‘self-payer’, in addition to basic health insurance cover:

– Appointments are usually available promptly, i.e. chronicisation of the problem is avoided, especially during acute transitional phases or waiting times.

Full control over topics and pace in the session (i.e. client-centred therapy sessions)

– Focus on direct support and inner resources (diagnostics tend to be subordinate, as would be necessary for health insurance companies)

Freedom of choice in therapeutic procedures and a high degree of self-determination in the approach can strengthen self-efficacy and motivation, which increases personal freedom of action.

– Full self-determination in the number and frequency of sessions according to your own judgement and personal needs – sometimes with intervals, sometimes more regularly.

Long-term support possible: No lock-in period of 2 years after completed or cancelled “health insurance” therapy

– High level of data protection and no institutional documentation in company, bank and insurance databases.

(Background: If psychotherapy becomes a matter of record, it could, for example, make it more difficult to become a civil servant or take out life insurance, which is necessary for building loans and occupational disability insurance, for example).
